  • Tribute paid to General José de San Martín at El Libertador (The Liberator) Square in Buenos Aires.
  • Departure for Uruguay. He was welcomed by a large crowd at Carrasco Airport in Montevideo and made statements to the press where he said: “The people of Latin America must unite, only then shall we be able to overcome difficulties. The people always manage to reach an understanding.”
